Choirmaster

You are no doubt familiar with Handel’s famous Messiah, a magnificent piece closely associated with the Holidays, featuring its famous Hallelujah, delivered so majestically by many of the great choirs. This explosion of joy is most assuredly the zenith of Baroque music.

But did you know that there is a French version of that magnificent piece? It’s a version by Victor Wilder (a specialist who translated every Wagner opera, among others), and interpreted in French in 1875 on the Champs Élysées, that the OSG and the OSG choir are preparing for their December 21 concert.
